Dear Neighbors
"I invite you to get to know me and learn more about the experiences and values that have shaped who I am. I hope to earn your trust as a representative who will listen, communicate openly, be transparent in my decisions, and work hard to improve the quality of life for you, your family, and our entire Rocklin community."
Meet Walter Moore
As longtime Rocklin residents, my wife and I are raising our 12-year-old son here. Family, faith, service, and community have shaped much of who I am.
I spent 36 years with Pacific Gas & Electric, where I managed employees in billing operations and coordinated college recruiting throughout Northern California. My work was focused on operations, employees, and recruiting, not on setting utility rates. Like my neighbors, I see those bills too, and my experience taught me to scrutinize costs, expect accountability, and remember how decisions affect real people.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration, and a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling. I have served as senior pastor since 2006.
My community service has included serving as foreperson of the Placer County Grand Jury, founding the 4everKiaraa Lupus Advocate Charity, serving on the Tri-City Little League Board, and being part of the Leadership Rocklin program.
I enjoy sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Through business, ministry, public service, and family life, I have learned the value of treating people with respect and listening to understand.
